REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services Department or their designee
STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW: The Behavioral Health Services Department (BHS) seeks to develop a talent pool of current BHS School Psychologists to serve as peer evaluators.
This opportunity will occur primarily from August 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025 as needed up to 50 hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The BHS School Psychologists will need to be familiar with the DESE performance evaluation process, have completed the BPS Peer Evaluator training, and understand the NASP Practice Model and best practices in school psychology. Peer evaluators will have to:
- Observations: conduct performance observations
- Meetings: Meet with peers to review the performance evaluation process and to offer feedback, suggestions, and support as needed
- Evaluations: Review performance evaluation artifacts and write performance evaluations
The stipend will be paid hourly at $56.81 once the responsibilities are completed.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
- Currently working in the Behavioral Health Services Department of the Boston Public Schools;
- Appropriate school psychologist licensure.
