OVERVIEW:
The Office of Specialized Services (OSS) seeks current BPS Teachers to administer academic assessments to equitable service students. This is an in-person opportunity with an immediate start date, as assessments will be conducted at designated testing centers city-wide.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assessors will be required to:
- Administer the assessment in person and complete the evaluation reporting components. The evaluation report must be an original document written by the assessor and will contain testing results, a description of subtests administered, an interpretation of the results, and recommendations. *A generated test summary from testing platforms will not be an acceptable form of an evaluation report.
- Testing may take place at an Assessment Center. Assessment results and reports must be uploaded into EdPlan.
- Answer any questions that the Coordinator for Special Education has about the assessment.
- Please note that this is a temporary, part-time opportunity with an immediate start date to be completed outside of your normal working hours.
Compensation: BTU Contractual Hourly Rate, $56.81. The estimated number of cases is between 10 and 20, each case is expected to take 3-4 hours. This stipend opportunity ends on 6/30/24.
This stipend position reports to the Assistant Director for Equitable Services.
QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED:
- Currently working in Boston Public Schools;
- Experience administering, scoring, and interpreting the WIAT-IV and, Batelle, and/or other tools as needed;
- In-person availability to complete assessments outside of regular working hours; and
- Appropriate licensure for administering the assessment.
