Secondary Transitions: Wentworth Program

December, February and April School Vacations

The STRIVE Department, a unit in the Office of Specialized Services, is seeking a Community Field Coordinator (CFC)  to operate the Wentworth Training Program during the December, February and April BPS school vacations. The Community Field Coordinator (CFC) will be responsible for working closely with Wentworth and supervising Boston Public high school students with significant disabilities, age 18-22, in:

1. The Go Green Recycling program (18-22 participants)
2. Facilities management (15-20 participants)

Specifically they will:

1. Oversee students in work based learning activities across the Wentworth Campus 
2. Develop participants skills through demonstration and hands-on practice in the methods and techniques of the trade 
3. Measure student progress with the Massachusetts Work Based Learning Plan
4. Interface with Wentworth Institute of Technology facility staff on all components of the program 
5. Collaborate with other team members to make adjustments to the program for the purpose of meeting the developmental needs of the students 
6. Process and manage payroll for GGRP and Facilities Management

The stipend pays the BTU hourly rate.

The coordinators are expected to work Tuesday - Friday from 6am to 2pm.
