Role
The Operations Intern will work directly with the Office Manager and Director of Operations at UP Academy Dorchester to support the management of school-wide systems and administrative needs.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide coverage in the Main Office as needed
  • Regularly interact with and assist students and families in the Main Office
  • Accurately enter data into various student information systems (SchoolMint, DeansList, ASPEN, etc.)
  • Maintain office bulletin boards
  • Provide administrative and operational support as needed, e.g., organize supplies, make copies, coordinate family communication, etc.

Qualifications

  • Available to work 10 to 15 hours a week, including every Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Docs
  • A customer-service mindset
  • A passionate belief in UP Education Network’s mission, values, and educational model
  • An eagerness to set ambitious, challenging, and tangible goals, and a relentless drive to achieve them
  • An ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and a capacity to remain calm and focused when faced with unexpected challenges
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including strong public speaking skills
  • A sense of humility in the face of success
  • Current authorization to work in the United States – A candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment

Compensation
The Operations Intern will receive a stipend based on experience and qualifications.
